There are 34 Medicaid and public health teams from states, local jurisdiction and territories involved in the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s 6|18 State Medicaid Initiative. Oklahoma is not one of them but there is still plenty to learn from these activities.
How can this help you even though Oklahoma is not involved?
Check out these resources produced as a part of 6|18:
1) Step-by-step guide to help your coalition establish evidence-based and feasible community priorities.
2) Access complete evidence summaries for each of the 6 priorities that include language that may appeal to a broader set of stakeholders, for example, this cost-benefit and return on investment data for asthma control programs.
3) It’s likely that your team is working on, at least, one of the six high-burden health conditions included in this initiative and you can find resources on the 18 evidence-based interventions here in the resource center.
