CATCH-UP Community Story: Pathways to a Healthier You

There was a need … everywhere! There is a level of trust and professional ability between Pathways and PHIO leadership so it was an easy decision to make to participate and bring much needed services to our rural communities. We served residents of Stephens and Jefferson counties but had people come as far away as Tx to be tested at various times / dates. As stated earlier in a summary, there was a trust of the community to provide a service to them on a level not seen before. Collaboration of the health system and public health became stronger in our communities. How important the health system as a whole is to a community. The ability of the healthcare system to provide a level of care never seen before or done before …. a community coming together to support workers who were overwhelmed, tired, emotional. We have learned to work together in ways we have not done so before, virtual, made new connections professionally who also provided support or met needs. We showed more grace …. gave more grace, had more patience with each other. Learned we cannot take this life or our relationships for granted.
