Dear Oklahoma Turning Point Partner,
Thank you for being a part of OTPC’s 25 years of public health innovations, collaborative solutions, and community advocates! As we celebrated our 25th year event in 2022 we honored our shared history and leadership, while recognizing our accomplishments of the past 25 years. Now we are planning for what the next twenty-five years of “Growing Together” should look like with our partners. And we need your help!
We hope you will consider continuing or initiating your support of OPTC. Your donation annually supports over 15 unique community and public health learning opportunities, our Annual Conference, and our Advocacy & Policy Days year-round. Your support also allows OTPC to support and honor local coalitions throughout the state as they work to solve complex health and social challenges. OTPC remains focused on collaboration and continues to expand its portfolio of work through its managing partner, the Public Health Institue of Oklahoma.
You might not know, but the OTPC was founded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, as a part of a national program to “transform and strengthen the public health system in the United States making it more effective, community-based and collaborative.” OTPC is proud to tout that Oklahoma is the only state in the nation that has sustained an operational Turning Point Council for over twenty-five years. We are Oklahoma-proud and deeply rooted to our state’s health and wellness thanks to collaborative partners like you!
At its foundation, OTPC is an independent statewide consortium focused on grassroots organizing, advocacy, and policy efforts to improve Oklahoma’s overall health. In addition to our 15 annual education and outreach activities, we invite you to join us in supporting cross-sector initiatives in communities as we support the development of:
- Community /Family Resource centers/HOPE Centers
- Community Schools, Community Gardens, local walking trails
- Improved policy & practice between interagency efforts
- Community/Patient/Parent advisory committees
- Handle With Care Oklahoma implementation
- Peer Support Groups development & sustainability
- Rural workforce development
We ask for you to review opportunities for supporting OTPC below and complete the below donation form. Invoices and tax-deductible receipts will be provided to all donors.
Yours in health,
